There was a time when every now and then, our social time looked like this. These days it might appear scary and reckless. Perhaps it was always reckless! Well, hopefully having these choices and freedoms is on the way back.
The Australian live music industry was decimated last year. The people effected is very widespread. Obviously the performing artists, and also sound technicians, graphic artists, promoters, venue owners and their employees, roadies, transport businesses, recording studios, security staff and more. Hundreds of millions of dollars supporting these people was lost. The ramifications are not only financial. They also involve mental health.
In March last year a valued ad agency in Northern NSW asked MPS to contact their live music promotion client to discuss the uncertainty ahead. The very survival of the client was at stake. Through open, transparent communication each party was able to hear each other’s real needs as well as come up with solution options to suit the new economic environment being faced. The doom and gloom then, was daunting for everyone.
Now, a year later there is good news. The client has survived. With no funds coming in, MPS enabled a postponed debt repayment program that fitted the client’s circumstances. The final settlement is happening now with concert tickets, being more beneficial for the client.
We see this as a beneficial opportunity as well. That is because MPS wants to thank you for working with us through the tough times.
